By choosing to have your treatment with Dr Edwards you can be certain to expect the highest standards of care. There are several factors that make this possible:
Experience
Dr Edwards qualified in 2001 from Bristol University and has taken part in many
implant and cosmetic training programs in this country and abroad. The diploma in implant dentistry demonstrates the gold standard of implant training. With placing over a hundred implants a year, Dr Edwards can demonstrate an audited success rate of 97.94%.
Care
Dr Edwards is extremely approachable and will put you at ease should you have any worries. She ensures that you can contact her at any time during your treatment to discuss any concerns you may have no matter how small. It is also really important to be aware that rather than being treated by a visiting implant surgeon, Dr Edwards is a well-established local dentist. This means that should any maintenance issues occur in the future, we will always be able to take care of you at the practice.
Quality
Dr Edwards chooses to use Swiss manufactured Straumann dental implants, the global gold standard in implant and aesthetic dentistry. They lead the industry in evidence-based implant, regenerative and aesthetic dentistry, with innovation backed by scientific evidence for over 35 years. The implants themselves are also guaranteed for a lifetime. Importantly Straumann still manufacture and provide the parts to restore dental implants that were placed over 25 years ago. This means that you can have the worn out crown or bridge replaced without have the entire implant surgically removed and replaced with a new one. Not all implant companies make all the old component parts.
Skill
The most complex part of implant treatment is in the planning. Creating a fantastic smile depends upon whether we can get all of the teeth into the correct position. We then work out whether there is enough bone to support the implants. Dr Edwards is able to carry out all the necessary types of bone grafting to create enough volume of bone without an onward referral. This includes separate bone block and sinus grafting. We also have a highly skilled team of dentists to ensure any other dental problems such as periodontal disease are rectified before embarking on any implant treatment.
Technology
3D bone scanner www.vatech.uk.com
We are one of the few dentists locally to have installed a 3D CBCT scanning machine which enables us to assess the bone volume before any surgery takes place. This is the gold standard and allows the clinician to safely for plan implant treatment, avoiding any important structures such as nerve and blood vessels.
Piezon machine www.ems-dental.com
This enables only bone substance to be resected with high precision and the surrounding soft tissue remains uninjured. There are less side effects to the patient, less pain, and faster healing!
It can also be used for implant maintenance to clean any titanium surfaces and prevent or treat any implant problems.
Ostell RFA www.osstell.com
This machine is used to check the bond strength of the implant to the bone after surgery. A magnet gently vibrates the smart peg attached to the implant and the reading allows us to make a decision about the optimal time to load the implant with any teeth.
Guarantee
Given her clinical experience and implant survival rate of 98%, Dr Edwards is confident to guarantee most implant and associated restorative cases for five year.

Tell: Krish will always endeavour to illustrate his findings, whether that is by showing you in the mirror or with photos of your teeth.
Show: Krish can show you what he plans to do. This may entail a direct mock up in the patients mouth, generation of a Clincheck (Invisalign®), SmileFast Smile Design, previous cases, and he commonly uses dental photography to show before and after transformations (click here to see his cases)
Do: Krish will be happy to facilitate the treatment you decide, when you decide.
Krish provides Adult Orthodontics using the Invisalign® (link to ortho section) clear brace system at West Parade Dental Care. This combined with his passion for teeth whitening and composite bonding (Align, Bleach and Bond) allows patients to get the healthy smile they have always wanted, in a pain free way.
He also provides Cosmetic treatments, Sedation (perfect for nervous patients), treatment for snorers, obstructive sleep apnoea, grinders and grinding related headaches (something he has treated himself for!) and Oral Surgery. He is happy to accept referrals for any treatment.
