He has many years’ experience undertaking root canal treatments (endodontics) and accepts referrals from other dental practices on a private basis.

By choosing to have your treatment with Dr Edwards you can be certain to expect the highest standards of care. There are several factors that make this possible:
Dr Edwards qualified in 2001 from Bristol University and has taken part in many
implant and cosmetic training programs in this country and abroad. The diploma in implant dentistry demonstrates the gold standard of implant training. With placing over a hundred implants a year, Dr Edwards can demonstrate an audited success rate of 97.94%.
Dr Edwards is extremely approachable and will put you at ease should you have any worries. She ensures that you can contact her at any time during your treatment to discuss any concerns you may have no matter how small. It is also really important to be aware that rather than being treated by a visiting implant surgeon, Dr Edwards is a well-established local dentist. This means that should any maintenance issues occur in the future, we will always be able to take care of you at the practice.
Dr Edwards chooses to use Swiss manufactured Straumann dental implants, the global gold standard in implant and aesthetic dentistry. They lead the industry in evidence-based implant, regenerative and aesthetic dentistry, with innovation backed by scientific evidence for over 35 years. The implants themselves are also guaranteed for a lifetime. Importantly Straumann still manufacture and provide the parts to restore dental implants that were placed over 25 years ago. This means that you can have the worn out crown or bridge replaced without have the entire implant surgically removed and replaced with a new one. Not all implant companies make all the old component parts.
The most complex part of implant treatment is in the planning. Creating a fantastic smile depends upon whether we can get all of the teeth into the correct position. We then work out whether there is enough bone to support the implants. Dr Edwards is able to carry out all the necessary types of bone grafting to create enough volume of bone without an onward referral. This includes separate bone block and sinus grafting. We also have a highly skilled team of dentists to ensure any other dental problems such as periodontal disease are rectified before embarking on any implant treatment.
3D bone scanner www.vatech.uk.com
We are one of the few dentists locally to have installed a 3D CBCT scanning machine which enables us to assess the bone volume before any surgery takes place. This is the gold standard and allows the clinician to safely for plan implant treatment, avoiding any important structures such as nerve and blood vessels.

This enables only bone substance to be resected with high precision and the surrounding soft tissue remains uninjured. There are less side effects to the patient, less pain, and faster healing!
It can also be used for implant maintenance to clean any titanium surfaces and prevent or treat any implant problems.
Ostell RFA www.osstell.com
This machine is used to check the bond strength of the implant to the bone after surgery. A magnet gently vibrates the smart peg attached to the implant and the reading allows us to make a decision about the optimal time to load the implant with any teeth.
Given her clinical experience and implant survival rate of 98%, Dr Edwards is confident to guarantee most implant and associated restorative cases for five year.
Subsequently, he has been working in general dental practice in Lincoln since 2007. During that time he extended his interest in Periodontal therapy, having trained to be a Dentist with Special Interest in Periodontia at Leeds Dental Institute in 2011 under Dr Margaret Kellett (Dean of Leeds Dental Institute). He has now completed his MSc in Periodontia at the University of Central Lancashire. In 2016 he became a partner at West Parade Dental Care whilst also teaching part-time as a Clinical Tutor at the Leeds Dental Institute. He holds membership with the British Society of Periodontology.
He provides a full range of Periodontal services at our practice and accepts referrals from other dental practices on a private basis.

This helped to enhance her skills in cosmetic dental treatment, dentures, crown and bridge prostheses and tooth wear treatment. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry especially minimal intervention and preventative dental care.
Amarinder keeps up to date with new developments in dentistry by attending a variety of courses and has recently started treating patients with the Invisalign Go system for minor crowding of front teeth. She maintains her membership with the BSPD (British Society of Prosthodontics dentistry).

He is passionate about prevention and firmly believes that teeth should last a lifetime. To this effect he dedicates a lot of time advising patients how he can help maintain and if needed provide a smile for years to come.
Qualifying from the University of Leeds in 2014, he has passed further examinations to qualify as a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Krish has worked in Woodhall Spa, Boston Pilgrim Hospital and North Manchester General Hospital in their oral and maxillofacial surgery departments. It is safe to say Krish has developed a firm base for his surgical skills.
Krish is a great believer in the tell, show, do concept, as patients must be fully informed of their options.
Tell: Krish will always endeavour to illustrate his findings, whether that is by showing you in the mirror or with photos of your teeth.
Show: Krish can show you what he plans to do. This may entail a direct mock up in the patients mouth, generation of a Clincheck (Invisalign®), SmileFast Smile Design, previous cases, and he commonly uses dental photography to show before and after transformations (click here to see his cases)
Do: Krish will be happy to facilitate the treatment you decide, when you decide.
Krish provides Adult Orthodontics using the Invisalign® (link to ortho section) clear brace system at West Parade Dental Care. This combined with his passion for teeth whitening and composite bonding (Align, Bleach and Bond) allows patients to get the healthy smile they have always wanted, in a pain free way.
He also provides Cosmetic treatments, Sedation (perfect for nervous patients), treatment for snorers, obstructive sleep apnoea, grinders and grinding related headaches (something he has treated himself for!) and Oral Surgery. He is happy to accept referrals for any treatment.
Krish always strives to enhance his skills to provide his patients with the most comprehensive treatment and regularly attends lectures and courses to facilitate this.
When not thinking about dentistry you may find Krish socialising around food, travelling abroad and exercising.

In 2016 Guin gained an MSc degree in Aesthetic Dentistry from Kings’ College London. This has enabled her to develop her skills in restoring and improving patients smiles in the most up-to-date, long-lasting and best quality techniques.
As part of her MSc Guin focused her dissertation on Botulinum toxins, so is arguably the highest qualified practitioner in this field in the area. This detailed study has been submitted to academic journals and Dr Guin herself is now an associate teacher and examiner to post-graduate Aesthetic Dentistry Masters students at Kings’ College London.
Guin Developed an interest in Facial Aesthetics over many years of treating patients’ smiles, and therefore studying facial anatomy and biomimetics, along with injecting patients dozens of times per day. Guin has advanced level certification in both Botulinum toxin treatments (often referred to as ‘Botox’) and dermal fillers and is qualified to carry out advanced techniques many other practitioners cannot, such as cannula use in tear troughs. She has been carrying out facial aesthetics such as these since 2010, and has treated over 1000 patients.
Guin is a member, and a previous secretary, of the British Dental Association. She enjoys skiing, walking, spending time with her family and design.
Victoria has always had a keen interest in the nervous patient and implant maintenance. Victoria has undertaken training in dental acupuncture for the anxious patient and gag reflex to assist her with such patients. Victoria has undertaken extended duties courses whenever they become available to further her role within practice.
Victoria believes in a whole-body approach when treating periodontal disease and is trained in diet and nutrition previously but is currently undertaking further training to become a Nutritional Therapist.
Passionate about complex periodontal cases and implant maintenance, Victoria decided to complete continuing professional development with the renowned Eastman Dental School London in Implant Maintenance and with Optident for Guided Biofilm removal. This has been extremely beneficial in treating implant patients and periodontal disease here at West parade Dental Care, which Victoria continues to do so in her busy clinics alongside her colleague’s Dr Melanie Edwards and Dr Kapil Sanghi.
Victoria is a qualified first aid instructor and also has her own skin treatment and beauty clinic.
